Obligatory First Post

Well,

I decided to move to wordpress to see how it goes. What really prompted the change, I don’t know for sure, but maybe it might be the fact that I’m ready to live my life on my own terms, and stay true to myself no matter what.

Lawyers Get You Off got too heavy a burden for me; I didn’t want my identity to stem from the fact that I study law. But as blogs go, it’s still pretty useful to have around.

Speaking of which, I know certain people whom wanted to do law for the prestige, yadda yadda. It really grinds my gears to hear about such ignorance and dim thinking. If they’re out for prestige, why not marry into the Lee family? Sheesh. There’s nothing prestigeous about earning blood money in a thankless job.

That aside, the primary focus of this blog is to document my journey into debauchery, right after my exams. Me and my girlfriends are gonna party throughout the whole month, and live life as we want to.

Right after this post I’m gonna study, so I’ll start off with a brief introduction of my friends.

Miyona
I met Miyo when we were 16 and we’ve been tight ever since. We both share a love of books, cats, orange and fine dining. All the time I’ve known her, she’s given me unconditional friendship, love and level headedness. She’s my absolute BFF who unfortunately can’t hold her liquor very well. But then again, neither can I. Lately, her shoe obsession has rubbed off me, and I spent half of my allowance on 3 pairs of footwear.

Sharon
Sharon is… small and Indian. As well as my closest friend in school. Our days were crystallised by hanging out at Orchard after school just talking about everything, from makeup to Fight Club. Life in school would be painful without her.

Schenelle
Backside player extraordinare. Schen epitomizes coolness and eyeliner. I can safely say that she is the most sporting and gutsy of my girlfriends, not to mention she’s the most streetwise. She’s like the older sister I never had, but unlike older sisters I can’t share her clothes cos she’s like, a size -1.

Melanie
(sings) Melanie, Melanie, have a happy deepavali. Partial to all things sugary, no meal is complete without her. She’s my gossip girl buddy, who also lives in the East! I love how everything she says sounds hilarious. Also, she can put up with my excessive saltiness.

Trinity
Why does she look younger than me if she’s a year older? Trinity is a cute gremlin. One time, she bit my thumb and it bled. She used to think I’m cool, now she just thinks I’m crazy. =(

Sze Bim
Finally somebody who can share clothes with me! Sze Bim works at the same place as me but at a different branch. She has awesome sense of style and can speak fluent Japanese. The Harajuku Poser (me) can’t possibly match up. Just like Melanie, she’s capable of sending me into roaring fits of laughter randomly. We got to know each other better by going home together (on the Bus or MRT, not THAT way, pervs).

That’s it for now. One day, I’ll do a post about the guys I hang out with. Until then, studying beckons. Ciao.
